Forever Clear Exterior Cleaning
How to prepare for an exterior-cleaning estimate
A practical checklist for useful photos, complete service requests and easy access before an exterior-cleaning visit.
The best preparation is a clear description of the property and the work you want. Begin with safe photos, a list of surfaces and the concerns that matter most. Move belongings and make access arrangements after the scope and appointment have been confirmed.

Make a short list of outcomes
Walk around the property from safe, accessible areas and note what you want addressed. Be specific: a stained entry path, dusty upper windows, debris at one gutter run or visible soil on the solar array. Separate your priorities from additional items you are merely considering. That lets the estimate address the important work first and reduces the chance that two providers price very different requests.
Photograph the surroundings as well as the mark
One close-up rarely explains a job. Include a wide view showing the surface, edges and route of access, then a closer picture of the concern. For high areas, remain on the ground. Tell Ryan when an obstacle prevents a useful photograph. You do not need to climb a ladder, move heavy items or disturb birds to make an initial estimate request informative.
Share material and condition details
Mention known sealers, coatings, films, recent painting and previous repairs. Report fragile surfaces, existing chips or cracks and spots where water has entered before. These are planning facts, not reasons to hide a concern until the appointment. If another cleaner or chemical was used on a stubborn mark, include that history as well. The purpose is to describe the starting condition accurately.
Explain how the work area is reached
Say whether access is through a locked gate, a narrow side path or a shared driveway. Mention animals, tenant arrangements and any areas that must remain available during the visit. If a property manager or another resident must coordinate access, settle who can authorize the work. Share restrictions early rather than assuming they can be handled on arrival.
Bring drainage into the conversation
For ground-level washing, identify nearby drains, slopes and landscaped edges. San Diego County’s guidance says wash runoff must be kept out of streets and storm drains. You do not need to design the cleaning plan yourself; simply make the property conditions visible in the estimate discussion. Flag rainwater-collection equipment or an unusual drainage connection that might not be obvious in photographs.
Confirm before clearing the area
Once the visit and scope are agreed, ask what should be moved and which water or access points are needed. Confirm whether screens, tracks, windows, gutters or nearby hardscape are included rather than relying on the name of a package. Keep the accepted estimate available. Forever Clear Exterior Cleaning provides free estimates and accepts cash, card, Venmo, Zelle and check; confirm the payment details for your booking directly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need measurements before asking for a quote?
Approximate dimensions or counts can help, but safe wide photos and a clear description are a useful start. Say which measurements are estimates, especially for roof areas, panels and windows you cannot easily reach.
Should I move everything outside first?
Wait for the confirmed scope and preparation guidance before doing unnecessary work. Identify items that are heavy, fragile or cannot be moved so access requirements can be discussed before the visit.
Can I ask about several services at once?
Yes. List each one and mark your priorities. A combined inquiry should still distinguish the surfaces and extras requested so you can review a clear estimate for the complete scope.
